Shape and Energy Antique Tibetan Singing Bowl

  |
  • This antique singing bowl was acquired from one of our favorite singing bowl experts and sound healer, Mangal Man.  He is a singing bowl artist that specializes in sound healing as well as collecting antique singing bowls.
  • DharmaShop co-founder, Christy Cohen, hand picked this unique bowl from a stunning and superior collection of antique bowls from Mangal's collection in Kathmandu.
  • This beautifully aged antique singing bowl has a rare and unusual shape.  It's truly a one-of-a-kind bowl decorated with linear bands and grooves.  With its unique bulbous shape and a rich tone, it shows and sings beautifully.

Interestingly shaped bowls like this one were often used for ceremonial or ritual purposes.  We were so excited to see and play this style of bowl in person, as they are incredibly rare.  Uncommon bowls are highly sought after by collectors and practitioners alike due to their shape creating a sound quality like no other!

A great addition to any collection, this one-of-a-kind antique bowl features an attractive and bright golden exterior that is beautifully decorated with many lines and grooves.  Over time, it has acquired some beautiful natural patina.  You can see that a lot of work went into making this bowl and you will feel its vibrant energy!

Bowl rings at an E note when struck with a woolen mallet.  This note resonates with the Solar Plexus chakra.  Located at the center of the body, it is the place where physical energy is distributed.  It is the center for unrefined emotions and personal power, and the center that give us the sense of complete satisfaction and contentment.

Measures approximately 6.5 inches in diameter and is about 4 inches deep. Cushion sold separately.  Comes with a traditional wooden striker.

All sound recordings are made by striking the bowl once with our Handcrafted Red Wool Mallet!
