1 inch wide solid sterling (.925) silver bracelet. The outside of the cuff features the mantra, Om Mani Padme Hung, in Newar script. This mantra invokes the powerful, benevolent attention and blessings of Chenrezig, the embodiment of compassion. Bracelet also includes beautiful roping details, two dorje symbols on either side of the mantra, and two Garuda accents at the adjustable opening. An intricately detailed, hand etched dragon design decorates the inside.
Symbolically, a dorje represents the 'thunderbolt of enlightenment.' Once "enlightened," the observer can detach from the personal importance of money, romance, food and even life itself. Garuda symbolizes the space element and the power of the sun, which can dry up the waters; he represents the spiritual energy of that which devours the delusions of jealousy. Tibetan dragons are protectors of Buddhism whose thunderous voices awaken us from delusion.
Bracelet measures approximately 1 inch wide and is quite heavy, weighing about 2 1/2 oz. Adjustable design fits almost all wrist sizes. Handmade in Kathmandu, Nepal.
