Buried Thunderbolt Pumtek Bracelet 04

  |

Buried Thunderbolt of Enlightenment
  • The word Pumtek means, "buried thunderbolt" and these Pumtek beads are among the rarest and most sought after collectable beads in the world.
  • Pumtek beads are made of opalized wood, a material that is indigenous to Burma where the beads originated.  Opalized wood occurs when wood is fossilized and turned into stone, making these beads extremely unique.
  • These antique beads are highly collectable.  DharmaShop founder, Sander Cohen, sourced these beads in Nepal on one of his first trips there.  The one-of-a-kind Pumtek bead is hand strung with Obsidian and bone spacers.

This bracelet features a geometric design with diamonds in the center surrounded by dotted eyes and 3 stripes on each end.  These symmetrical designs are believed to represent the universe and sacred geometrical designs.  Because it is from the earth and was once organic material, petrified wood is known for its strong grounding properties and calming energies.  Many Burmese and Tibetans revere these beads as prized spiritual objects that can also act as protection amulets.

Obsidian is a very protective stone and is excellent for removing negativity.  It is very useful to help you to let go of disharmony and shields against negative emotions.

Bone beads are handcrafted by artisans who recycle and reuse everything in daily life and spiritual practice.  They are a powerful reminder of impermanence; because nothing is permanent, everything is possible.

Bracelet measures approximately 6.75 inches around on stretchy cord.  Pumtek bead is about 1.75 inches long.  Obsidian beads are 8mm, bone beads are 5-6mm.
