• This antique gonging bowl was acquired from one of our favorite singing bowl experts and sound healers in Nepal.  He specializes in sound baths as well as collecting antique singing bowls.
• Hand picked by the DharmaShop team, this unique and one-of-a-kind bowl was selected from a stunning and superior collection of antique bowls in the Kathmandu Valley.
• This beautifully aged antique bowl has a rare and unusual shape often referred to as, "trapezoid."  Because it is difficult to sing, this bowl is for gonging only.  It's great for setting the tone prior to meditation or cleansing your environment.

Interestingly shaped bowls like this one were often used for ceremonial or ritual purposes.  We were so excited to see and play this style of bowl in person, as they are incredibly rare.  Uncommon bowls are highly sought after by collectors and practitioners alike due to their special shape creating a sound quality like no other!

Bowl rings at a A note when struck with a woolen mallet.  This note resonates with the Third Eye Chakra.  When this chakra is balanced, we are able to better connect to our intuition and imagination, visualize, concentrate, have insight, enlightenment and a finely tuned awareness.

Measures approximately 7.75 inches in diameter and is about 4 inches deep. Comes with a traditional wooden striker.
