Green Tara Savioress Framed Thangka

  |
  • A stunning Green Tara thangka hand painted with gold details in a traditional brocade frame.
  • Our thangkas are hand painted by master artists and their apprentices.  Thangka schools in Nepal help to keep Tibetan traditions alive.
  • Each painting is done entirely by hand on canvas before being sewn into a stunning silk brocade frame.  It's the perfect addition to your home decor, meditation area, or altar space.

Green Tara is known as the Buddha of enlightened activity, filled with youthful vigor.  She is the fiercer form of Tara, but is still a savior-goddess of compassion.  In Buddhist religious practice, Green Tara's primary role is savioress. She is intensely compassionate and acts quickly to help those who call upon her.

The traditional Tibetan brocade fabric is a polyester and silk blend, making it a long-lasting and versatile material.  It features a gorgeous floral pattern with red and yellow framing around the painting.

Painted area measures approximately 10 inches wide and 15 inches tall.  Frame measures approximately 19 inches wide and 35 inches tall.
