Auspicious Symbols Tingshas with Case

  |
  • These exquisite artisan quality tingshas are incredibly rare.  We haven't been able to source them in a few years but were able to find a handful this year!
  • Handmade and hand tuned in Nepal, this set comes inside of a handcrafted copper and brass case carved with amazing detail.
  • Tingshas are used by Buddhists as sound offerings or as a way to clear space prior to meditation.

Each tingsha features repeating hand etched dorje symbols and lotus petal designs.  Symbolically, a dorje represents the 'thunderbolt of enlightenment.'  It is considered an emblem of protection in Buddhism.

The handcrafted metal case is decorated with the 8 Auspicious Symbols.  In Buddhist legend, the 8 Auspicious Symbols represent offerings the gods made to the Buddha after his enlightenment.  It is believed that each of these symbols have powers to bring blessings.

Case measures approximately 3.75 inches in diameter.  Tingshas are about 3 inches in diameter.
