Maitreya is a unique Bodhisattva known as "the future Buddha."  It is believed that Maitreya will appear on Earth in the future, achieve complete enlightenment and nirvana, and teach the pure dharma.

The traditional Tibetan brocade fabric is a polyester and silk blend, making it a long-lasting and versatile material.  It features blue lotus designs on matching royal blue with red and yellow framing around the painting.

Painted area measures approximately 10.25 inches wide and 14 inches tall.  Frame measures approximately 19.25 inches wide and 33 inches tall.
