Hundreds of hand carved prayer wheels can be seen all over Nepal. From Buddhist centers and temples, to monasteries and stupas, prayer wheels are turned clockwise to release prayers and mantras into the heavens. This decorated temple style prayer wheel features 5 wheels in 1 setting. The setting includes dorje designs and coral accents with two sitting deer.
The outside of the wheels include the mantra of compassion, Om Mani Padme Hum, written in Sanskrit script. This mantra invokes the powerful benevolent attention and blessings of Chenrezig, the embodiment of compassion. Inside the prayer wheels are scrolls containing this mantra and prayers which multiply with each turn.
Spin the wheels clockwise whenever you feel the need to improve your karma. We hope it brings you continuous good wishes and joy!
