- Earlier this year, we visited with a husband and wife Tibetan artisan team that we work with in Nepal at a jewelry show in Arizona. We selected a handful of incredible antique Pumtek, Dzi, and Agate beads from their collection, including this incredibly rare ancient White Sulemani Agate.
- This bead has traveled throughout India, Burma, and the Himalayas, and is estimated to be between 600-1,000 years old. The incredible White Agate stone was unearthed by hands of an ancient world and traded throughout the centuries as a prized artifact.
- Sulemani Agate is a prized stone in Tibetan culture, but finding one with such a light and unique color is a rarity. It stands out with its ethereal hue and unique characteristics. Our jewelry specialist has paired it with an adjustable sterling silver chain, creating a visually striking and harmonious combination.
Ancient beads like this one, whether made from Carnelian, Sardonyx, or Agate, were often used not only for decoration, but also as protection amulets to shield the wearer from negativity or evil. Some Sulemani Agate beads were often used as prayer beads as they were believed to ensure health and longevity.
This gorgeous white bead, pale and translucent in nature, is associated with purity, clarity, and a sense of lightness. It emits a gentle and calming energy. We've never had a bead like this in our collection before!
