This thangka features a very colorful mandala design with a conch shell symbol in the center.  The naga/conch shell is one of the Eight Auspicious Symbols and represents the fame of the Buddha's teaching which spreads in all directions like the sound of the conch trumpet.  It is a symbol which fearlessly proclaims the truth of the dharma.

Each detail is painted by hand on cotton canvas using natural mineral and vegetable pigments with 24K gold accents.  The intricate brushstrokes and extraordinary detail make these thangkas genuine works of art.  It comes unframed and ready for Western style framing of your choosing.
